Hexachloroethane Smoke (HCE) is an important screening and signaling device used in civilian, security and law enforcement applications. However, HCE is toxic and has proven to be harmful to the environment and the people exposed to it. This competition will help develop an alternative to the existing hexachloroethane (HC) and terephthalic (TA) smoke compositions that will contribute positively to health, safety and the environment.
